It can be extremely beneficial to maintain sound dental and oral health for a number of reasons. The health of your teeth is intrinsically linked to your general wellbeing and functioning teeth allow us to shape our words and chew our food in order to gain nutrients. Additionally, decay or infection in your teeth can affect a number of other parts of your body, including your jawbone. This is why maintaining a healthy smile can help you to ensure that you are taking care of your general health. The appearance of your smile can also affect your self- confidence, which is also why maintaining sound dental health can be advantageous.

There are a number of steps you can take in order to maintain a sound oral hygiene routine. Brushing twice daily and flossing at least once a day can help you to ensure your teeth, gums and soft tissues are as clean as possible. Avoiding food or drinks that have a high sugar content can also help you to establish sound dental health. In addition to these steps we advise that our patients visit our dental professionals every 6 months for a general check-up so we can monitor your dental health and remove stubborn plaque or tartar.

Cosmetic dentistry is a specialisation of dentistry that focuses on the appearance of your smile. We offer the full spectrum of cosmetic dentistry treatments, including teeth whitening and Invisalign, in order to help our patients achieve the smile they deserve.

Most of our patients are suitable candidates to benefit from our cosmetic dentistry treatments. Cosmetic dentistry is often ideal for those who wish to improve the appearance of their smile, including the shape, shade or positioning of the teeth. During your initial consultation our dental professionals will assess your teeth and dental health in order to identify if you are a suitable candidate for a cosmetic dentistry treatment.

Our dental professionals believe it is important for our patients to visit our dental practice every 6 months so that we can ensure that you are maintaining excellent dental health. These appointments allow our team to help safeguard you against the development of cavities and dental decay. If these concerns are ignored, they can progress into much more concerning conditions and can even lead to tooth or bone loss.

It’s important to start bringing your child to the dentist from around age 3, so that they feel comfortable with having regular check-ups. Our dental professionals can assess the positioning and structure of their teeth, as well as instil healthy dental habits that can stay with them for life.

Many of our patients are nervous about root canal therapy – family and friends often have (unhelpful) horror stories to tell! But root canal doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Given time and enough local anaesthetic, with the tooth fully numb, root canal is a pain-free process. It’s similar to a long appointment for fillings. Root canal isn’t cheap, but sometimes it’s the only option to save a tooth. Many of our patient use a payment plan for their root canal.
